Airwork Helicopters commenced aerial spraying operations in 1992 with a successful tender for local mosquito control and over the last 20 years we have developed an enormous amount of expertise with Aerial Agriculture.

Aerial Agriculture Services currently provided include:

  • Mosquito control services in the Caboolture and Redcliffe shire areas
  • Herbicide and insecticide applications for weed and pest control
  • Locust spotting and control in New South Wales and Queensland
  • A wide variety of crop spraying

Airwork operates Bell OH-58A Kiowa helicopters for spraying (the OH58 is identical to the Bell JetRanger). We always have two helicopters on standby for spraying fitted with Isolair spray systems.

The OH58A’s are extremely efficient and reliable offering our spray customers the best possible value.

We have a variety of nozzles to choose from, depending on the type of application and droplet spectrum required and can cater for a wide range of aerial agriculture application requirements.

All machines are fitted with Trimble Ag Nav GPS systems with download facility to allow our customers to view flight paths if required. They are also fitted with spray flow controllers to ensure accurate distribution of the product.

Our pilots are highly experienced in all aspects of aerial agriculture application which ensures the most effective and efficient results and minimum environmental impact.

Professionally designed and maintained ground loading equipment supports the helicopters along with qualified loading personnel.

Airwork Helicopters and staff have Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia (AAAA) accreditation.
